Born in Sudbury, Elizabeth was raised, and now lives, in Ward 11.
Elizabeth earned an Urban Planning Degree at Ryerson University, Toronto. She started her career in Sudbury with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation then moved to Atlantic Canada and worked as senior market analyst for Nova Scotia and Atlantic Region Strategic Planner, and then later in her career, as an independent planning consultant. She returned to Ontario after having raised two sons.
Elizabeth has worked on many urban and municipal projects for a variety of clients. Her work includes: land use and strategic plans, housing affordability studies, technical background reports, and recreation, active transportation and trail plans, to mention a few. She’s also written numerous grant and loan applications (FMC and QUEST) to help secure over $15 million for the City of Saint John’s energy efficiency initiative. Having worked in the urban planning industry, Elizabeth brings an understanding of the partnerships required to achieve progress.
As an active person, Elizabeth enjoys cycling the trails, spending an afternoon at the beach and tending to her garden.A mother of two boys, Elizabeth has visited the emergency room too often to set bones and stitch up cuts. Her eldest son teaches English in China and her youngest son is entering his third year of science at Queen’s.
