Aaron Taxi began as a solitary taxicab. That cab was owned and driven by John Sanders Sr., a recent immigrant from London, England. That lone taxi was not John’s first foray into Canadian enterprise, he had previously delved unsuccessfully into the restaurant business. But failure did not suit John well; he had run a successful coal delivery operation in London before coming to Canada and was determined to build a similarly fruitful venture in his adopted country. His enduring tenacity would increase Aaron Taxi’s fleet size slowly but surely until it became one of the largest in the city.
Today, Aaron taxi is owned and operated by John’s grandson and it continues to operate on its founding principles of hard work and customer service.
