Head to the Townehouse Tavern tonight and pay tribute to Canadian rock icons The Tragically Hip.
Joey Fiorino, Pepper, Dan Levecque, Ryan Levecque and Billy Aulenbach play in a variety of local bands, but they’re coming together tonight as a band with no name to pay tribute to the Hip.
Doors for ‘A Night of The Tragically Hip’ open at 9 p.m. on Oct. 25. There’s a $10 cover at the door.
“All of these pit party, camp fire Canadian sing along legandary rock tunes will be performed at the Townehouse Tavern … A night you will not want to miss,” Aulenbach said in an email to Sudbury.com.
The event is in remembrance of Hip singer and lyricist Gord Downie, who passed away Oct. 17, 2017, after battle a terminal brain tumour.
