An exquisitely pure sweet voice and stellar instrumental work are widely acclaimed hallmarks of Newfoundland singer, Mathew Byrne, who will perform Thursday, April 28 as part of The Motley Kitchen’s Dinner and a Show series.
Recipient of the 2015 Canadian Folk Music Award for Traditional Album of the Year, Matthew Byrne was born into a family of Newfoundland music makers and his repertoire is heavily influenced by his unique musical lineage.
As a student of history born into a family of persistent song collectors, Byrne often had to look no farther than his mother’s song binder, compiled from previous generations, to unearth a hidden gem and give it a new musical life.
Dinner and entertainment combined will cost $50.00 including HST. Show-only seats are $19 each.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with the buffet dinner served at 6:30 p.m. and the show at 7:30 p.m.
