Nick Reynoldson returns to Theatre Cambrian May 27 for Theatre Cambrian’s Late Night comedy show.

Late Night is an inexpensive way to have a night out on the town with family and friends, and the hilarity never fails to impress, a press release said.

“It all started last year,” said Mark Mannisto, Theatre Cambrian’s executive director. “It became so popular with the public, we decided that we absolutely had to do it monthly.”

Reynoldson, who is headlining the event, has been to Theatre Cambrian before.

“He was so funny, within five minutes of his act we knew we had to have him back as a headliner,” said Mannisto.

Reynolds, hailing from Scarborough, Ont., has a unique view of the world. Sharp, smart and energetic, this young comic is quickly on the rise. A 2013 COCA Comedian of the Year nominee, he has appeared in major festivals including the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, NXNE, and as part of the New Faces Showcase at JFL 42. He’s been featured on MTV, MUCH, CBC and multiple national commercials.

Barry Taylor has appeared in clubs and colleges across the country and shared the stage with the likes of Neil Hamburger, Jason Mewes and Scott Thompson.

His unique delivery and dry sense of humor are his signature and have lead to on air positions with 102.1 the Edge FM and XM Satellite Radio, appearances on Comedy Network, Much Music, MTV and Raptors NBA TV as well as writing positions with the Comedy Network and Google.

Shawn McLaren, a Sudbury local, will be emceeing the evening. From improv comedy in high school to the group Murder By Appointment in university, he has always been people making laugh. After making second place during the LOL Sudbury Crown of Comedy, he pursued comedy, writing and film. Since his debut in 2009, he has been working hard to develop the comedy scene in Northern Ontario.

The May edition of Theatre Cambrian Late Night will take place at Theatre Cambrian May 27 at 9 p.m. For $10 (advance), audiences will be able to enjoy great laughs and drinks with friends and family.
