École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier’s theatre group Les Draveurs performs the play “Manouche” at Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario May 31 to June 1.

The curtain time each evening is 7 p.m.

The play was written by three Macdonald-Cartier students, Anna-Charlotte Tremblay, Joëlle Villeneuve and Loïc Gauthier Le Coz.

The synopsis of the play is as follows:

A bus shelter somewhere in Sudbury houses an unusual duo. One is a homeless person who is returning home for the first time after living on the streets of Montreal for 15 years.

The other is a girl overwhelmed by family problems who is longing for change of scenery. One knows exactly what she is looking for. The other has no idea.

Together, they must keep each other company as they wait for the bus to arrive.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at TNO's box office at 705-525-5606. The play will be performed in French.
