Sudbury Secondary School students present “Elf: The Musical Jr.” this weekend.

Evening performances are Dec. 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. and a matinee is scheduled for Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.

Based on the 2003 film “Elf” starring Will Ferrell, “Elf: The Musical Jr.” is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole.

Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy's enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth.

Performances take place at Sudbury Secondary School's Sheridan Auditorium. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. They're available for purchase at Sudbury Secondary's main office during school hours.

The production is suitable for all ages, including preschoolers.
