Sea Perry will be in concert on Dec. 1 at The Coulson Nightclub.
The concert will be an album fundraiser, and while this concert will be a non-ticketed event, a $10 donation will enter attendees into a draw for a pair of Toronto Maple Leafs tickets and will be donated to fundraising Sea Perry’s new album.
North Bay’s power trio David Dino White will be opening the show.
Sea Perry’s first full length album “Do what you do” was released to a very positive reception in May 2015 bringing a lot of attention to the band in a relatively short amount of time.
Coupling the album production, cross-Canada tour, festival dates, music videos, (Nowhere to go, Pressure, and Molly’s Shoes) and not to mention all the back end business responsibilities that fall on any band, Sea Perry’s schedule was jam packed for the better part of 2015.
Moving forward in 2016 the band had some decisions to make as far as whether to keep touring or take time to write and release more music.
“We spent a long time building our back end team, and knew that the decision to write for an unforeseeable amount of time would not necessarily be in the best interest of that team," said Sea Perry bassist Shawn Fisher.
"We needed time away from the pressures of the business and travelling side of music, so we could solely focus on writing some really honest music.”
The band is proud to announce that the material for their second album is now ready, and they are ready to get into the studio and release some music.
The band will be holding a series of fundraising shows in Sudbury, Toronto, Guelph, and London in hopes to raise money for the new album yet to be titled.
