Enthusiastic crowd greets touring Canadian rockers

One of Canada’s most iconic bands, The Trews are in the midst of a tour that brought the Maritime rockers to the Nickel City this past weekend.

The band, perhaps best known for their song “Highway of Heroes” about the stretch of Highway 401 between Trenton and Toronto where funeral convoys for fallen Canadian soldiers travel, put out a greatest hits package entitled “Time Capsule” last year.

Warming up the crowd on Saturday night was up-and-coming Canadian rockers and Greater Sudbury’s own, Vintage Slang. (http://vintageslang.ca/)

If you couldn’t make the show, don’t worry. Photographer Marg Seregelyi was on hand to capture the show. Enjoy.

Even better than a show by one of Canada's best rock acts? Part of the proceeds of the show went to the NEO Kids Foundation.
