I certainly hope Sunwing Vacations does not pull out of what
is definitely a win-win situation for Sudbury and the company
as a result of an isolated and unlucky situation.
My father and his travelling companion were on the
Cuba-Sudbury flight that had difficulty landing Feb. 22. They
had the time of their lives in Cuba and took the landing
situation all in stride. Although accommodation for the
travellers was not possible, they were handled in a
professional manner. In addition, the flight crew was
co-operative, professional and good natured.
To those people who had such a horrible time, please do not
book a trip next year. There will be hundreds of happy
travellers more than willing to take your place and continue to
enjoy Sudbury being an international airport.
