Down Syndrome Association thanks Kinsmen for support

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Kinsmen Club of Sudbury for their generous donation to the Down Syndrome Association of Sudbury (DSAS) via the Kinsmen Club of Sudbury 30th Showcase Sweepstakes.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Kinsmen Club of Sudbury for their generous donation to the Down Syndrome Association of Sudbury (DSAS) via the Kinsmen Club of Sudbury 30th Showcase Sweepstakes.

The DSAS is a not-for-profit organization that assists people with Down syndrome and their families by subsidizing the cost of assistive devices; funding their attendance at educational events and conferences focused on educational and therapeutic techniques; promoting awareness, equality and fairness for those with Down syndrome; organizing social events where those with Down syndrome and their families can share personal experiences and each others’ company; and many other activities that advance the cause of our family members and friends with Down syndrome.

At no time in the DSAS’ history has our mission been more important than over the course of the past year and a half, when the City of Greater Sudbury welcomed seven babies born with Down syndrome.

This donation is invaluable to our ability to deliver our mandate to our new and existing families, and without the assistance of organizations like the Kinsmen Club of Sudbury, we simply could not do so.

The generosity that the Kinsmen Club demonstrates to so many deserving groups in our community needs to be commended. The Down Syndrome Association of Sudbury profoundly thanks them for acknowledging our efforts through both their generosity and their kindness.
