Drunk driving sentence a joke - Eileen Krumpschmid

When reading the article Drunk Driven To Spend Weekends in Jail published on April 28, I swore my glasses were dirty. A man with a 30-year history of drunk driving is sentenced to 90 days in jail to be served on weekends.

When reading the article Drunk Driven To Spend Weekends in Jail published on April 28, I swore my glasses were dirty.

A man with a 30-year history of drunk driving is sentenced to 90 days in jail to be served on weekends. Why you ask? Because he is the sole supporter of his family even though he's retired.

What's wrong with this picture? He's been caught five times and the court is showing him leniency. Oh and if he gets caught again, he'll get a lengthy jail term. Give me a break. The only chance they're giving him is to kill someone. I thought society was clamping down on drunk driving.

What a joke!
