Letter: Canadiens show class in win over 'hooligan' Bruins

As they say, it's only a game, but it's our game. Never in my many years of watching professional hockey have I witnessed such unprofessional, disrespectful and hooligan conduct as demonstrated by this year's Boston Bruins.
As they say, it's only a game, but it's our game. Never in my many years of watching professional hockey have I witnessed such unprofessional, disrespectful and hooligan conduct as demonstrated by this year's Boston Bruins.

From racial slurs by some Boston fans against P.K. Subban, to squirting water on Subban's face shield and laughing about it, to blowing snow on Carey Price, to Milan Lucic's angry personal threats against two Montreal players at the post-game handshake, and the general poor sportsmanship and roughhousing throughout the series, the Montreal Canadiens stayed above it, and displayed class, skill and tenacity.

It's as if the Bruins' disrespectful and classless behaviour spurred on the Canadiens to show the Bruins what sportsmanship and hockey professionalism are all about. Such a class act deserved to win.
