Letter: Election kills important judicial hearings, bill

I hope voters give some consideration to this question.
I hope voters give some consideration to this question.

With NDP leader Andrea Horwath triggering an election because of a budget that she says she and her party liked elements of, but could not support because Liberal scandals have made the party untrustworthy. Here is part of what happens thanks to her self-serving decision, a decision that will cost taxpayers in excess of $94 million.

The election kills:

1. Judicial hearings into the $1.1-billion gas plant scandal that would inform taxpayers the who, what and where. We are once again in the dark and questions haunting the taxpayers go unanswered.

2. Judicial Hearings into the billion-dollar Ornge scandal, again frustrating taxpayers who deserve insight into the who, how and what.

3. Passage of legislation making the Children’s Aid society accountable to the Ontario Ombudsman, leaving parents frustrated and unable to voice objections about a service that is long overdue to have controls on them.
