Letter: Fixing pot holes doesn't require a consultant

Reader questions priorities of roads being repaired

Enough is enough. I watch city council meetings and look at all the high price city managers in the background.

Why is it that we can’t perform simple tasks in this city without getting a consultant, usually from southern Ontario, to study the situation and submit a report?

If you’re a manager and you can’t make decisions without outside help. then you shouldn’t be there. The six-figure salaries are for competence!

The city is fixing pot holes on side streets when the major arteries are still riddled with them. It doesn’t require a doctorate to set priorities and work efficiently.

Why on earth is it more important to repair side streets than the major arteries? Without getting a consultant’s report, I’ll list them for the city staff. Kingsway, LaSalle Boulevard, Barrydowne Road, Notre Dame/Paris street, Regent Street, Lorne Street, Falconbridge Road and Elm Street.
