My heart is bursting with love and appreciation for all of the beautiful friends/family and strangers that came through in various ways to help with my food drive. Thank you all so much

I’m honoured to know so many people who truly and honestly understand that the real meaning of Christmas is about GIVING. I’m truly blessed to know so many generous, kind, loving people. I’m also blessed for the amazing amount of strangers that came forward and donated.

This year, because so many of you were kind enough to share my posts, I received donations from as far as Florida and South Carolina. I not only had several complete strangers etransfer funds, but I also had strangers walk into my salon with bags of food and some money, and I also had strangers call me to offer their help for deliveries.

Is that not what Christmas is all about?

I can not thank you enough for giving , for helping , for sharing. I fully intended to publicly thank every single individual who donated, but this year the list is long. Please know, you all hold special little places in my heart. I hope you get to see this, so you can see what I mean when I say, every donation helps.

A special thank you to the angels who donated their time and muscles to help shop and deliver. The loving Manon Bonin, Sydnee , our gorgeous accountant, the beautiful Joanne, and, of course, my awesome parents Alma Lefebvre, Jean Claude Lefebvre, who not only donated tons of food, but also generously gave their time to help me this last month.

Another special thanks to Joseph Scagnetti of The Tint Shop for lending us his company vehicle. That bad boy holds a lot of food! Without it, this would have turned into a two-day marathon.

Thank you a million times friends, you have filled my heart and I love you for being so generous.

I managed to collect (and spend) more than $2,200, plus I received loads and loads of food. After delivering the two first loads, we asked for a specific grocery list, and everything we bought were things they needed.

In the end, we delivered:

  • 6 large bags of candy/chocolate
  • 290 cans
  • 66 jars of Cheez whiz
  • 22 bags of sugar/brown sugar
  • 21 tins of coffee
  • 28 tins of Coffee Mate
  • 48 boxes of cereal
  • 62 miscellaneous boxes and 24 boxes of stuffing
  • 51 jars of jam/peanut butter
  • 20 kg of rice
  • 60 cans of meat
  • 79 bags of pasta
  • 16 cans/bottles of juice
  • 21 bottles of condiments/syrup
  • 10 kg oats
  • 7 litres of pickles
  • 24 containers of Parmesan cheese
  • 14 containers of broth
  • 24 bricks of cheese
  • 50 litres of oil
  • 5 turkeys
  • 10 large hams
  • 20 prime rib (sorry butcher/meat man, we broke your rule of not getting more than three prime ribs, but we’re rebels, and we we're on a mission).
