Letter: Garbage bag reduction is discriminatory, says reader

It's unfair for large families and needs to be stopped

I am writing this to stop the latest reduction in allowable garbage to just 1 bag.

This practice is discriminatory. It is not based on the number of residents in the home. It should be based on per house capita.

How can a family of one person be allowed to put out one bag and a family of six be forced to reduce down to that same one bag?

While I agree that recycling is important, it should be forced equally on each household. Not just something bigger families need to do. This practice is unfair and should be stopped at once.
