While another restaurant review site may be useful, I'd like to point out that TripAdvisor reviews by visitors are a good thing as it reminds us that an eatery may have only one chance to make a good impression.

We should also realize that there are also well over 200 regular TripAdvisor reviewers in Sudbury. We re-visit our favourites and update our reviews on what we find.

We get responses from owners of the places we review and questions from people right across the world who are making travel plans. And yes, I review the hundreds of eateries and attractions we visit, but if there is a problem I point it out at the time - as do many reviewers.

In Sudbury, there are many fine eateries. There are also some gaps. Very few places are completely accessible. Menus with only one non-meat option, or one fish option are not inspiring. And more and more people do not want otherwise appetizing items made inedible by the addition of shellfish and bacon.

The new site will be useful addition if the reviewers are aware of these concerns. It will be really useful if the "Top Five" includes those restaurants that cater to the broad range of tastes and dietary needs.
