I am writing this letter as a family representative of my mother, Mrs. Aline Gillespie.

My mother has resided at Chartwell's Meadowbrook retirement home in Lively for the past five years.

In these difficult and overwhelming days, we would like to take this opportunity to commend and thank our mother's residence.

The atmosphere has always been welcoming and pleasant.

Our mother has consistently been treated with kindness and respect. The majority of staff members have relationships with her based on humour, and again, kindness.

The food is healthy, satisfying, and as our mom would attest to, “quite tasty.” If something is not to her liking, they readily offer her an alternative choice.

They have kept her safe and guarded during these frightening days.

As a family, any concern or question we have brought forward has been satisfactorily  addressed.

During this pandemic, only the same two family members have access to our mom. The staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate our schedules and assure our mother's  contentment.

We would like to thank all of these kind people for coming to work daily. Their tireless efforts are allowing our mother to feel safe and cared for in a dignified  and kind manner.

Thank you! Thank you!! Thank  you!!!

The Gillespie family
