As a longtime — OK, very long time — resident of the Sudbury area, I could not be prouder of Greater Sudbury’s city council for the decisions it made on the three most significant issues we face: climate change, immigration and the Truth and Reconciliation recommendations.

This is evidence that our council is capable of mature, 21st century leadership where our leaders face the uncomfortable truth, think very long term and collaborate towards a future where all can thrive.

It also shows our council leads with both head and heart, and it knows how to focus on making change happen rather than having egos be in charge.

Thank you Mr. Mayor and councillors, for your hard work.
