Letter: 'Watch who you vote for’

Politicians must think voters are naïve and uninformed. Mike Harris was the northern boy who existed only for southern Ontario. The south wanted the end of the bear hunt, so he gave it to them.

How badly did he screw up the Sudbury hospital? We still do not have a parking garage, the hospital is smaller because the Mike Harris Conservatives slashed the funding, after all it was for the North.

Education is still trying to recuperate from their bad judgement — just visit your schools or talk to your children. It’s the work of Mike Harris and the Conservatives.

Hudak and his Conservatives again want to continue to destroy education in the province. He wishes to increase classroom sizes and get rid of support staff and aides.

He is so out of touch with reality. What about all the young people that need help to attend college and university? He does not care about the poorer young people because his Bay Street supporters have the money to pay for their children, and who cares about the rest?

Rick Bartolucci, as late as last month, had to convince his government to give the Sudbury hospital more money to make up the shortfall left by the Harris-Hudak Conservatives.

Rick also got the Highway 69 project going, along with numerous northern projects, including the partial spring bear hunt.

Hudak and his Conservatives promise to create 1,000,000 jobs while reducing your taxes. Does he really believe we the voters are stupid enough to believe this?

He and the Conservatives want to cut 100,000 jobs in the civil service and still provide the same level of service. I wonder if this is going to be 1,100,000 jobs that will need to be created because of this folly?

Yes the Liberals screwed up on the power plant cancellation, but are still endorsed by Mayor Hazel McCallion. She calls it a bad mistake, but time to move on.

Watch who you vote for. Liberals are a provincial party with roots in the North, the NDP are a provincial party with great roots in the North, Conservatives are a southern Ontario party who tolerate the North.
