I know that you have been very busy since I
wrote you Feb. 7 on the matter of David Emerson's defection to
the Conservative Party, so I was not expecting a reply.
However, there has been sufficient time for Emerson to submit
his resignation. That is the only acceptable thing to do in
this case.
I did not say honourable, since there is no
way to regain honour after such a disgusting act. As well, your
apologists are making fools of themselves in the media, whether
defending your action or declining to comment on it. Don't
mistake that for support. You have made a grievous error in
judgment.
Whether or not you are man enough to admit to
the mistake and correct it forthwith, we are coming in
relentless waves, for your head (metaphorically
speaking).
Your betrayal, on a Canadian scale of
political relativity, is of the first magnitude, and so should
be your humiliation.
