I always believed all Canadians were equal,
but this is not true when it comes to energy. We have enough
oil and gas to be self-sufficient, yet our governments do not
believe we should stand on our own two feet.
Albertans and Ralph Klein have, and still
complain about Western alienation. Every year they save $1,600
on provincial tax. They laugh at Easterners because we fall for
it. To add insult to injury, each Albertan will receive a $400
rebate from the high price of gas we pay and still have
billions to put in their coffers.
Our two Members of Parliament should be doing
something about this? If they say that it is out of their
hands, then what are they doing in Ottawa? Why have a
government?
Recently an expert on fear was asked about
what should we fear the most. "Your governments," he replied.
And you can be sure he is right.
The air is very different in Ottawa. Once MPs
get there, they become robots to a prime minister who doesn't
care for ordinary Canadians.
