Private health care wrong for Canada - Gary Dunnigan

I returned to Sudbury after several years away in the United States. Unfortunately, the reason for returning was an illness in the family. Our love and admiration goes out to the nurses on the fifth floor at the hospital's St.

I returned to Sudbury after several years away in the United States. Unfortunately, the reason for returning was an illness in the family.

Our love and admiration goes out to the nurses on the fifth floor at the hospital's St. Joseph's Health Centre site.

They are overworked and understaffed, but they still managed to care for our mom like modern-day Florence Nightingales.

I happened to read local newspapers and the talk seemed to revolve around semi-privatizing the health-care system. To which I can only say, are you crazy?

Perhaps you would like to join the 40 million and counting uninsured Americans. Or maybe you want to donate your home to a hospital that sues because you can't pay a bill?

Partial privatization means one thing. The corporations that have looted and pillaged the American system want to invade Canada. If they do, say good-bye to your life savings as they slowly bankrupt OHIP. Say good-bye to peace of mind for you and your family.
