I attended a city budget meeting at the
Capreol Arena recently to find out if the Federal Liberal
government had come good on the $7.57 million (promise) for
their share of the rock tunnel.
True to form, the Liberals have not come
through with their promise.
I asked Councillor Ted Callaghan and he gave
the microphone to a lady from the city. She said no money (was
approved), but city officials are hoping the gas tax would
help.
Are we surprised ? I am not. If the gas tax
comes through (which I'm sure won't) we would be $7.57 million
short from another promise.
We have had a Liberal regime (Marleau and
Bonin) in Sudbury for many years. They are in power in Ottawa,
yet we have the poorest roads, infrastructure, health care,
hospitals, etc.
Judy Erola promised a mining machinery plant
in Valley East under the Trudeau regime. Where is it?
Liberals have cost Capreol hundreds of high
paying jobs and decimated the town. Northern Life should get
off this Liberal kick.
