I was disappointed to read Bob Daigle's letter regarding Dr.
Roger Strasser's 2005 salary.
When Strasser, an expert in rural medicine, moved his family
from Australia to be president of our new medical school, he
made a long-term commitment to improving medical care in
Northern Ontario.
His salary is more than fair when considering the years of
education, experience and leadership he has brought to our
community, not to mention the responsibility and demands
associated with his post.
Efforts to ensure quality local health care for years to
come cannot be measured solely in dollars.
