Thanks Summerfest for a job well done

We have to thank all the people behind Summerfest who work endless hours to put this family event on for all to enjoy. Each year, there is a small group that seems to work very hard to make a weekend full of fun for the whole family to enjoy.

We have to thank all the people behind Summerfest who work endless hours to put this family event on for all to enjoy.

Each year, there is a small group that seems to work very hard to make a weekend full of fun for the whole family to enjoy. These events just don't happen on there own; there's a long list of things to be done to make it work.

Not only do the people of Sudbury come out, but out-of-towners come in for the weekend, too.

But to hear this event may be the very last one is very sad and upsetting. This city needs more events, not fewer.

The reason being heard is that the city staff are not working along with organizations to help put this event on.

Look at all the manpower and equipment needed just to set up the Summerfest site for one weekend. Why can we not have Bell Park set up each summer to have it available for different groups to book for weekend events? Just think how easy it would be for other groups, if we were to have the same set up as Summerfest from May until September, ready to use.

Each weekend we could have something going on in the park to attract locals and, even better, travelers.

Let's get behind Summerfest and get city hall to work with them before this event is gone.

Thank you Summerfest for a job well done.
