Reading the story, Mayor comes out swinging
was great. For the mayor to finally come out from behind closed
doors of his office is nice to see after two long years. Why
did it take a councillor so long to let the public know what we
all know?
If you want to talk to our mayor, you never
can. Have you ever called his office? Now that is a real eye
opener. Talk about clever politics. You talk to everyone but
the mayor.
For some strange reason, the people in that
mayor's office feel they have the power to handle people the
way they want to. Why that is, only the mayor would know. If he
says the dog is wagging the tail, and not the tail wags the
dog, he's wrong.
I have called upon his office many times to
speak to him. I only get very little or no response. It seems
the only way to speak to the mayor is if you are from the press
and willing to put his picture in the public view.
May I suggest he take the doors off the
hinges. Get the press there and show the public that city hall
has an open doors concept, and then just maybe we will see the
truth for ourselves.
Until that happens, we have to watch from the
side lines as our city which we love slowly falls apart. Then
you ask why people move from here. And why business people say
our city is not open for business.
