As a nurse practitioner practising in Northern Ontario I have written to the premier to urge his government to live up to its campaign promises to hire more nurses and nurse practitioners, and to ensure full-time employment for both.

As a resident of Ward 3 I believe that a recount is warranted. Greater Sudbury should be responsible for the cost of a recount cost because candidate John Robert was denied a fair hearing (at council).

Powerboats and loons don't mix - Chris Nash
With a really long Canada Day weekend, power boaters and watercraft riders will be out on the lakes. As the waves hit the shorelines, unfortunately the loon chicks will get washed off their nests. At this stage they can't swim and they drown.

Chamber's ideas worth hearing - Jason Bubba
As a business owner I was upset to read the article, Chamber shut out of budget process. The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce represents the main engine driving the local economy. Without our local businesses all other initiatives will fail.

Don't steal grocery carts - Richard Eaton
This spring I've noticed a disturbing trend. I live in close proximity to three major grocery stores and I see people pushing grocery store carts home and then abandoning them. Shoplifters will be prosecuted say the store postings.
