Productions Café Heritage prepares for the annual Rayside Balfour Heritage Days Festival this weekend.

Productions Café Heritage is preparing for the annual Rayside Balfour Heritage Days Festival this weekend, but this year things are different.

Café Heritage is taking a new strategic approach to this year’s festival weekend by focusing on providing education, not just entertainment.

“The purpose of the project is to create an intimate acoustic setting where our performers; both professional and amateur, will be able to create a fun afternoon filled with storytelling, jamming, dancing, and connecting with walk-in artists from across Northeastern Ontario,” the Café Heritage website says.

The festival runs from June 9 to 11 with concerts, fireworks, food venders and more.
