Are you brave enough to watch the 1975 Steven Spielberg thriller “Jaws” while on the water?

That's exactly what people are being asked to do Friday night at an event on Lake Wahnapitae.

Held as part of the Wahnapitae First Nation's annual pow wow, Jaws on the Lake starts at 9 p.m. Aug. 18. Head to 131 Loonway Rd. in Capreol to watch the film on a 20-foot inflatable screen.

“Bring your inner tubes, canoes, kayaks, floating emojis and your water wings, because this movie will be shown with the best view will be from the lake itself,” said the event's description.

Launch Pad — the company behind Downtown Movie Night Under the Stars — is working with the Wahnapitae First Nation to put on the event.
