The fifth edition of FAAS — the Fair of Alternative Art in Sudbury — kicked off yesterday. Until May 7, about 30 artists will take over a parking lot at the intersection of Elgin and Larch streets. They'll be creating art installations within parking spots. North Bay's Megan Paulin, who's part of the city's Future in Safe Hands (FISH) Collective, created a piece inspired by contemporary aboriginal issues. Photo by Heidi Ulrichsen.
