Another popular Greater Sudbury summer event has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Local musician Larry Berrio has announced that his annual SandBanks boat-in concert on Lake Wanapitei, which normally takes place in late July, is officially cancelled.
Berrio said on his Facebook page that even with the Stage 3 pandemic reopening, he’s only allowed to have 100 people in attendance.
“This clearly shows that with over 200 boats and more than 1,500 people last year, we will not be able to maintain a show with 100 people,” Berrio said.
He thanked the City of Greater Sudbury, Greater Sudbury Police and the OPP for their assistance in trying to make the concert happen.
“Let's ROCK 2021!!” Berrio said. “Be safe and enjoy the rest of our summer and please support our local businesses.”
