Blueberry Festival fun continues

The Blueberry Festival continues today (Friday) with the Blueberry Bash in Memorial Park from 8 am to 4 pm.

The 12th annual Celebrity Blueberry Pie Eating contest was held at the Rainbow Centre.

The Blueberry Festival continues today (Friday) with the Blueberry Bash in Memorial Park from 8 am to 4 pm.


The folks from Better Beginnings Better Futures are serving an all-day pancake breakfast while the Older Adult Centre is hosting a barbecue lunch. There will also be entertainment as well as information booths and vendors.


The fun moves to Market Square downtown Saturday from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Enjoy a pancake breakfast and entertainment. Blueberries will be on sale at the market.

Southridge Mall is hosting the Blueberry Sidewalk Sale this week. Breakfast will be served Saturday from 9 to 11:30 am.

The Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre in Capreol invite everyone to the Blueberry Garden Party from 11 am to 4 pm Saturday.

Skead Recreation Committee will host a blueberry pancake breakfast and bake sale from 8 am to noon Sunday.

Closing ceremonies will take place Sunday at the William Bell Park Gazebo starting at 7 pm and will feature musician Kevin Closs.

Sud-Berry Bear's girlfriend will be officially named at the closing ceremonies.

This year VoicePrint Canada has been the lead agency organizing the festival.
