Downtown Sudbury's 12th Sudbury Ribfest is in the books, as thousands of hungry BBQ enthusiasts flocked to the downtown over Labour Day weekend.
Live music, a kids' fun zone and most imporantly, six professional rib teams kept the festivities buzzing over three days in the heart of downtown Sudbury.
While Sudburians were following their noses to their favourite ribber, six esteemed judges were holding a closed-door tasting of each vendor's wares to determine who would take home the hardware at Ribfest 2019.
At the end of the day, three different rib teams were picked in the blind taste test and the winners were chosen.
Best chicken went to Downtown Sudbury Ribfest newcomer Mississippi Smokehouse.
Ribs Royale claimed the Best Sauce award.
The award for Best Ribs went to Crabby's BBQ Shack.
For the third year in a row, it was Boss Hog's taking the People's Choice Award, as voted on by Ribfest patrons.
