Sudbury vocalist Pandora Topp presents two performances of her ongoing project Café Piaf later this month at The Cedar Nest Décor Café.

The performances take place at 7:30 p.m. on both Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18.

Concert-goers will experience an intimate musical performance recounting the incredible story of the legendary French singer Édith Piaf followed by a half-hour artist talk with the musicians.

Described as “absolutely brilliant,” the Café Piaf ensemble deliver with authentic realism the emotional stories of courage and resilience that defined a legend.

The charm of Café Piaf with Topp is that it seeks not to imitate the inimitable Édith Piaf but rather, it attempts to recount everyday lives made extraordinary through brilliant storytelling and comprehensive musical composition.

Besides Topp, the shows will feature performances by Iona Reed-Pukara on accordion, Ron Kelly on guitar and Brian Quebec on double bass.

Tickets cost $40 each, and are available at the Cedar Nest at 11 Cedar St., or by phoning 705-677-5519.
