Canadian comedy veteran Mike Wilmot is returning to Sudbury for a show on May 14 at the Northbury Hotel.
Wilmot was already an established comic in 1995 when he decided to start a new chapter in the United Kingdom. There, he spent 23 years building a reputation as “one of the unsung heroes of the UK comedy scene.”
In 2003, he won the Barry award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He’s also been featured in TV shows as well as multiple appearances at Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.
Wilmot has travelled around the globe for comedy festivals in Ireland, Scandinavia, Paris, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, and South Africa.
The show in Sudbury will also have local comics Shayne Dupont and Shawn McLaren on board. Tickets will be $25 each or a reserved table of 10 can be purchased for $275.
