Capreol Days: Outdoor festival, escape room, softball tourney and fireworks

The town of Capreol is the place to be during the Civic Holiday long weekend, where Capreol Days runs Aug. 2-4.

The community festival starts Friday, Aug. 2 with a softball tournament that runs all weekend and a talent competition called The Valley's Got Talent 2.0.

The outdoor festival takes place on Young Street Saturday, Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and includes vendors, book signings, an escape room, children's activities, a pie-eating contest, bicycle-decorating parade, children's scavenger hunt, rides on the Little Obie train, petting zoo, live music and more.

A pre-teen and teen masquerade party also takes place 7-10 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Lion's Den.

Sunday, Aug. 4 starts with a cricket match at Centennial Field at 10 a.m., followed by a pasta dinner at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church at 5 p.m. 

Capreol Days wraps up with a bang at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 with fireworks on Capreol Lake.
