Sudbury Indie Cinema opens film series with free screening of Weirdos

Close to 50 Sudburians made their way to Memorial Park on July 25 for the first of three outdoor movies of the summer.

Sudbury Indie Cinema is hosting a trio of  free outdoor film screenings in the park downtown and opened the mini series with a screening of Weirdos.

The show was opened with a live music performance by Ashley Woodruff and Rob Murray.

Next up on the schedule is the 2014 film Trick or Treaty, a Canadian documentary feature film about Treaty 9, a 1905 agreement in which First Nations peoples in Northern Ontario surrendered their sovereign rights.
