Sudbury Indie Cinema is holding outdoor film screenings this summer.

The free film screenings take place starting at 9 p.m. in Memorial Park, with live musical entertainment starting at 8:45 p.m.

Those interested in attending should provide their own seating, blankets and snacks. Any maybe some bug spray, too.

The film schedule is as follows:

July 25 - Weirdos (2016) - Just after the end of the Vietnam War and in the midst of the American bicentennial celebrations of 1976, runaway Kit and his girlfriend Alice hitchhike their way along the east coast of Canada.

Aug. 15 – Trick or Treaty (2014) - A Canadian documentary feature film about Treaty 9, a 1905 agreement in which First Nations peoples in Northern Ontario surrendered their sovereign rights. 

Aug. 22 – Vital Signs (2009) - Simone leaves her lover and regular student life behind to help people who are about to die.
