(CNW) A survey by Leger Marketing on behalf of Grand & Toy reports Canadians are routinely working unconventional hours from unconventional places.

"The survey results are not surprising, considering the professional expectations of employers today," says Trinh Tham, manager of commercial marketing for Grand & Toy.

The survey highlights the fact that the average business professional's workday often continues past 5 pm and regularly extends into personal time in the evenings, on the weekends in some cases.

According to the survey, 61 percent of Canadians who earned $40,000 or more annually believed that mobile office tools were necessary in today's fast-paced work environment.
