Chamber has busy month planned

The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce will honour outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs Tuesday, May 9 at the ninth Annual Business Excellence Awards. The event will be held at the Radisson Hotel, downtown, beginning at 5:30 pm.

The event will be held at the Radisson Hotel, downtown, beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets are  $70 for members and $90 for non-members.

The chamber has plans for a busy May. Murray Elston, president of the Canadian Nuclear Association, will talk about nuclear energy in Ontario at a luncheon at the Keg Steakhouse on The Kingsway. Lunch tickets are $25 for members and $30 for non-members.

Later in the month, Mary Webb, senior economist with Scotia Economics, will summarize the provincial economic outlook. She will speak at the Radisson Hotel, Tuesday, May 16 at noon.

The chamber will host a session on counterfeiting Wednesday, May 24 at the Knight's Inn on Lorne St.
