Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival has announced it will return for its 33rd edition Sept. 18-26.

As it did last year, Cinéfest Sudbury will use a hybrid in-theatre and virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The festival will launch its programming Aug. 26, when tickets will also go on sale.

Cinefest is inviting the public to join in the reveal of the full festival lineup for Cinefest 2021 with a virtual media conference that day, which you can find at Cinefest.com

Following the conference, tickets will be on sale online at Cinefest.com and through the Cinéfest box office at 40 Larch Street, Suite 103 in Sudbury.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming audiences back to the theatre and to our virtual platform this year,” said executive director Tammy Frick, in a press release.

“Our Cinéfest team is working hard to ensure that all of our patrons have the ability to access a wide variety of exceptional films in the format most comfortable to each individual.”

Audiences are encouraged to visit Cinefest.com or phone Cinéfest at 705-688-1234 for any questions about tickets, film programming or using the virtual platform. A live chat feature will be available on Cinefest.com to answer audience questions starting on Aug. 26.
