Coniston goes to the dogs from April 7 to 9

The Nickel District Kennel Club Inc. will be hosting three days of Championship Dog Shows from Friday, April 7 through to Sunday, April 9, at Toe Blake Memorial Arena (70 Government Road) in Coniston. The show will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The shows will feature over 200 Canadian Kennel Club registered purebred show dogs – including Canada’s No. 1 Dog ‘All Breeds’, the West Highland White Terrier from British Columbia – and others from across Canada vying for Championship titles and ranking points to determine Canada’s top dog Spectators will have an opportunity to mingle with the exhibitors, dog breeders and dogs while enjoying a great learning experience into the world of purebred dogs and dogs in general.

Everyone is welcome, except family pets as they are not allowed on the grounds. Spectator fee is $5 per adult or $10 for the family. Children are $2 each but must be accompanied by an adult. Seniors over 55 are free.
