During the month of February, students at St. John Catholic Elementary School in Garson learned about the Catholic virtue of compassion by raising funds for pets waiting for their “fur-ever” homes.
“Rooted in love and hope for all living things, student council members helped raise money in support of the Greater Sudbury SPCA animal shelter by selling yummy cupcakes!” said a press release.
The school ended up raising more than $475 for the Sudbury SPCA during their Jaguars' Cupcakes for Paws.
