Do you have a passion for the arts? Do you love making community connections? Love dancing? The Dance-A-Thon may be what you’re looking for.

The event takes place on Saturday May 14 from 8 p.m.  to 8 a.m. at La Fromagerie on Elgin Street.

Non-stop music will be handled by amazing local DJs and guests. Create your own dance team up to four people so get your friends, family and coworkers together for a memorable evening.

If dancing isn’t your thing, that’s ok, you can still take part by making a donation on line at www.raiseathon.ca/mythsdance. Dancers are welcomed to join at the door as long as there’s room on the floor.

The Dance-A-Thon is a fundraiser with no shortage of fun. Participants register online, collect pledges and proceed to dance the night away, or for as long as they can stand.

Dancers can register as a team up to four or strut their stuff individually and are encouraged to dress up as their favourite dance movie character.

There will be awards throughout the night and prizes. Many of them and different winning categories including top pledge earners.

This event is about "stepping" up, and down and around, to a fun challenge of supporting arts programming that makes a big difference in our community.

All of the proceeds of this event go to support Myths and Mirrors community programs that give opportunities for personal and collective expression in our community.
