Local photographers have less than a month to submit their most stunning pictures of local water bodies to the eighth annual Picture Our Lakes Photography Contest.

The contest, put on by Artists on Elgin, closes June 16. Successful entries are included in a calendar.

“There is no cost to enter, and we want pictures from all ages and skill levels,” said Courtney Natale, business promotions co-ordinator for The Northern Artist Gallery/Artists on Elgin.

“There are over 300 lakes in Greater Sudbury, and our goal is to be able to feature as many different ones as we can.”

The Picture Our Lakes Photography Contest is open to photographers of all ages and abilities. All photos must have been taken within the City of Greater Sudbury, and must feature some element of water.

Photos can be submitted in one of six categories: spring, summer, fall, winter, youth (under 18) and undiscovered lakes.
