Crowdfunded horror film “Terrifier 2” hits the screen at Sudbury Indie Cinema this Saturday, Oct. 29, at 8:30 p.m.
Like “The Exorcist” and the “Saw” films before it, Terrifier 2 includes claims that it left some fans faint and vomiting.
The Indie promises, “This film is not for the faint of heart!”
As its slasher film predecessors have done before it (think the Halloween series, the Friday the 13th series, the Phantasm series, etc.), Terrifer features its own iconic killer, in this case the demonic and murderous Art the Clown who, you guessed, is dressed as a clown.
“This low-budget horror flick has brought in over $5 million at the box office over its few-week run, expanding into international markets due to demand,” the Indie said in a news release.
In Sudbury, Sudbury Indie Creature Kon (SICK) has acquired it for a special screening at Sudbury Indie Cinema, 162 MacKenzie St.
Moviegoers on Saturday can look forward to “Terrifier 2” door prizes, custom merch by local zombie portrait artist Rob Sacchetto. Organizers Douglas Ewen and Miranda MacLeod are looking to add a few more goodies as well, the Indie said in a news release.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
