There are less than 100 open air theatres in Canada . Five new drive-ins were built in the past year including ones in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

The closest drive-in theatre to Sudbury is in Barrie. Oakville has the largest drive-in theatre in Canada with five screens.
