Get ready for a day of mud, sweat and cheers as the Mudmoiselle obstacle course returns to Adanac Ski Hill in Sudbury Aug. 20.

The course is a 5 km stretch of Canada’s muckiest, filthiest, slimiest mud. It’s where your inner child runs free while testing your endurance, strength and ability to keep a straight face.

This women’s-only event is open to all fitness levels. Whether you’re used to running 10k or just running after your toddler, you can take on this challenge.

Teams of four or more are encouraged and early bird pricing is on until Aug. 7 at just $50. Regular pricing starts Aug. 8 at $75 and online registration closes at 9 a.m. Aug. 18.

Money raised through Mudmoiselle will fund cancer research and vital support services for cancer patients and their families.

The minimum age to participate in the event is 13. Those participating between the ages of 13-16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the course. A waiver must be signed prior to participating.

Please note that heat times will be selected at random and event organizers will notify all teams and participants of their heat times closer to the event date.

Be prepared to complete the race during the hours of 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug.20.
